Draw It Again Contest Entry! by Pun Pun by Pun-Pun1 Draw It Again Contest Entry! by Pun Pun by Pun-Pun1
I seriously cried when I saw these two side by side. Then I slammed my keyboard and yelled "SUCK IT, BITCHES", for no apparent reason! This has made my month!

I am going to present to you now a verbal venn diagram of why #2 is better then #1.
Similarities: Both of them I had a tablet, and photoshop.

April: 20 hours of work. I used the shitty pencil tool for EVERYTHING! That is why it is so pixelated! Don't even get me started on the eyes! And the shading was inconsistent, and shitty cell shading. I do not like using that. They hair is hilariously rigid. Also, the anatomy is generally ape-shit, and I had no clue how to do a 3/4th's perspective. And what the heck is up with the background?

September: 8 hours of work. 'Nuff said. I have learned perspective, shading, lighting, how to properly paint, colour harmonies (I seriously spent an hour picking the colours before I painted), anatomy is more realistic and stylized, and I added that epic glow from the light, cut, bruise, and a sharp scowl, entirely changing the mood of the piece.

Also, this is probably the last time I will draw My Little Pony art for awhile. :( It is time for me to move on.

Thank you for viewing, and PLEASE CRITIQUE THIS!!! I don't have a premium membership so there is no huge button.
I'm gonna go play Chrono Trigger now.
Thank you!

Yeah, refer to one of my earlier comments to see why I did not put in the cutie mark.

That improvement is INSANE in such a short amount of time. Bravo! One question though: Where's his cutie mark?

Thank you so much! I decided not to do the cutie mark for a couple reasons. 1: I did not like it anymore and was too lazy to redesign it. 2: The rear half of him was not turning out too well, so I wanted to do as much as possible to keep people looking at his head, and not his flanks and legs. and 3: DA is very wary about copyright infringement for this contest, and so getting rid of the cutie mark removes something that I may be disqualified for. If possible, I should edit out the cutie mark on the original too.

Sorry about being so long winded.

I think it's a lot better but still need work on proportions concerning the body length.

Thank you for pointing that out! I just noticed that. The back right leg is quite a bit longer then the back left leg. Damn, too late to change now. What else is wonky about the proportions?

Well it seem that the right front leg look broken or is it suppose to be it's heel? :s

It is just how the last joint, the "hand" kind-of, bends when there is no weight on it. And then the corner at the end is his hoof, which is always rigid, of course. I find it sad that one of my favorite parts of this piece looks that bad to you.
